LICA Wear is committed to youth in collaboration with ORAKI and the DPJ
At LICA Wear, we firmly believe that every woman deserves to feel good about herself, and that starts with underwear that combines comfort and quality. But beyond our mission to create products that highlight the beauty of all women, we are also committed to solidarity actions that have a real impact on the community. It is in this spirit that we recently participated in a special project in partnership with the Quebec company ORAKI and the Direction de la protection de la jeunesse (DPJ).
A solidarity project for young people in need
ORAKI, a Quebec organization, has initiated a project to provide clothing and accessories to young people aged 0 to 21. These young people, often facing difficult financial situations, have a limited annual budget for clothing. This represents a real challenge in meeting their basic needs, particularly for underwear and winter clothing. This is where ORAKI's initiative comes in, which aims to provide these essentials without these young people having to dip into their already limited budget.
Why is this project essential?
As part of this project, young beneficiaries receive underwear, warm clothing and other essential accessories that allow them to get through the winter months with peace of mind. These donations help fill a crucial need, particularly for those whose financial resources are not sufficient to cover all of their clothing needs throughout the year. Through this initiative, ORAKI aims to alleviate some of the financial burden on families while providing concrete support to Quebec youth.
LICA Wear's commitment to this solidarity initiative
When we were contacted by ORAKI to contribute to this project, we immediately saw the importance of this cause. As a committed Quebec company, we have always wanted to give back to the community that supports us. This is why we decided to actively participate by offering 189 pieces from our collection, including panties and bralettes, in order to meet the needs of these young people.
Our contribution: 189 essential pieces
LICA Wear has chosen to contribute by offering products that embody our values: comfort, quality and simplicity. Our underwear, which is appreciated for its softness and perfect fit, was carefully selected for this donation. These pieces were distributed to the young beneficiaries as part of the ORAKI initiative, in order to offer them not only quality clothing, but also a sense of dignity and comfort in their daily lives.
LICA Wear panties and bralettes have been chosen for their minimalist design and soft material, composed mainly of nylon and elastane. These materials guarantee optimal comfort, while being durable and resistant. Each piece has been carefully crafted to meet the needs of those looking for underwear that is both discreet and elegant, without compromising on comfort.
An eco-responsible approach
In the interests of sustainability and respect for the environment, we have also taken care to choose items in excess stock or with slight defects that could no longer be sold. By offering these pieces, we have not only contributed to a cause that is close to our hearts, but also prevented perfectly good clothes from being thrown away. This approach is in line with our desire to minimize our ecological impact while being united.
The impact of this project: a direct impact on young people
The beneficiaries of this project, whether children or adolescents, were able to receive essential clothing without having to worry about their budget. For some, these clothes are not only a physical comfort, but also a moral relief. The initiative of ORAKI and its partners, including LICA Wear, allows these young people to feel valued, supported and surrounded by a community that cares about their well-being.
From the impact on youth to a gesture of collective solidarity
The initiative does not stop at the distribution of clothes. If some items are not chosen by the young beneficiaries, they are then transferred to women in need at the Notre-Dame hospital. This ensures that no item is lost, and that it benefits other people in need. This is how this project creates a solidarity loop where everyone can contribute, directly or indirectly, to improving the lives of those who are going through difficult times.
How you can help in turn
If this project touches you and you would like to contribute, you can participate by donating clothing, even those with minor defects or that are unsellable. Surplus stock is also a great way to help, giving a second life to pieces that can make a real difference in the lives of young people and women in need.

The importance of solidarity actions in the fashion industry
As a fashion company, LICA Wear believes in the importance of contributing to society in a responsible and ethical way. Participating in projects like this not only helps us meet immediate needs, but also places our brand in a process of positive change. We believe that fashion should not only be about trends, but also about values that support individuals and communities in need.
Conclusion: A meaningful collaboration
Our collaboration with ORAKI for this project in partnership with the DPJ was an enriching and meaningful experience. It is a gesture of solidarity that reminds us of the importance of helping and supporting each other, especially when it comes to young people in vulnerable situations. At LICA Wear, we will continue to participate in initiatives like this, convinced that every little gesture counts and can transform someone's life.
We thank ORAKI for this opportunity and all those who contributed to this project. Together we can make a real difference.
